Tracey brings more than 20 years of government and political experience to Veritas. An eight-year veteran of Los Angeles City Hall, Tracey gained first-hand experience about the inner workings of local policy, procedures and politics. Tracey leverages her public affairs and government relations expertise to serve clients seeking to engage with elected officials and key decision-makers, navigate public agencies to overcome roadblocks, build coalitions to voice policy concerns, as well as elevate brand recognition for maximum marketing exposure.

In addition to her local government experience, Tracey gained federal experience while working as a field representative in a Congressional office, tackling issues related to immigration and Veterans’ affairs. She also worked on Capitol Hill at a lobbying firm and maintained an assignment in campaign finance compliance.

Between times in city service, Tracey worked for nearly five years at Central City Association of Los Angeles, a leading business advocacy organization, as the Director of Government and Member Relations. In that role, Tracey advocated on behalf of the organization’s members at all levels of government, built and mobilized effective coalitions, shaped public policy, spearheaded political fundraising and created winning political strategies.

Prior to founding Veritas, Tracey was co-owner of an all women-owned boutique public affairs firm based in Los Angeles where she served as a trusted advisor to her clients facing legislative and regulatory challenges. Subsequent to that, Tracey led the Los Angeles City Hall practice, as well as co-managed the local government relations practice, at a large public relations firm. In that role, Tracey served as strategic counsel and advocated for clients before local elected officials and decision-makers, the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors and various regulatory agencies. In that time, Tracey had the opportunity to work on ground-breaking policies.

Tracey has also taken on leadership roles. As a committed advocate for early childhood care and education, Tracey is a board member of Mount Washington Preschool and Child Care Center, a nonprofit that oversees three licensed preschool and child care centers, including Joy Picus Child Development Center located in Los Angeles City Hall South. Additionally, Tracey is a board member of Operation Progress, a nonprofit in Watts that places children, most of whom live in Jordan Downs, Imperial Courts or Nickerson Gardens, on the path to academic excellence through partnering with local Catholic elementary and high schools and LAPD mentors, focusing on academics, life skills, health and wellness, service and safety.

Tracey earned her Master of Science degree in Public Administration from California State University, Los Angeles, and her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Public Service from the University of California, Riverside. Additionally, Tracey is an active alumna of Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy. You may find Tracey on the links or softball field in Monterey Park with her nine-year-old daughter, Teddi.
